The Canal Museum and Stoke Bruerne offers an authentic experience of waterways history – real objects, real stories and a real working canal. And we offer a wide range of hands-on learning opportunities for people of all ages.

School visits

We offer children the chance to discover a real canal, explore real historical objects and learn from real stories. Our courses can be tailored to meet your requirements and we are also happy to welcome groups who prefer to plan their own activities.

We offer free planning visits when you can meet with museum staff to discuss your requirements, tour the site and view the resources that are available.
